During his residency at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Abay was inspired by the model of a specialized, dedicated team focused on a specific disease process.  The result of this system was clear: better patient care.  Dr. Abay applied the knowledge he learned at the Mayo Clinic toward the founding of Kansas Spine Hospital in 2003.  Since that time, we have gained widespread recognition within the medical community for our patient satisfaction and superior outcomes. As our hospital has grown and developed, we have focused our attention on five main areas:

At KSH, we use a system where the scheduling process is flexible and streamlined, allowing your surgeon to make the best decision about when your procedure will be performed, without being limited by complex scheduling.  Our patients have access to an experienced full-time staff of neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists and internal medicine physicians with an expansive knowledge in spine and orthopedic problems.  In addition, our facility has state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including the area's only 3T MRI machine.
